DASA is a scheme provided by The Ministry of Human Resource Development (Government of India) for Admission of Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) /Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs and other premier Technical Institutions in India. The admission to Undergraduate courses in Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) is being done under DASA scheme of MHRD from the academic session 2001-02 onwards.

 

The institutions covered under this scheme are  comparable to the best institutions in the world and are known for providing quality education in technical courses. Till date students from more than 30 countries have been admitted under DASA scheme.

 

Academic Eligibility

Students must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination (10+2). Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2014-15 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2015 may also apply.

 

Candidates should have a minimum total valid score of 1440 (out of 2400) in SAT-II Subject Tests (subjects:Mathematics Level 2, Physics & Chemistry).

Age: Only students born on or after Oct. 01, 1988 are eligible. Date of Birth recorded in Secondary Education Board or any Certificate issued by the Government authorities only will be taken as authentic.
